Scott Alford began defending medical malpractice cases at Franklin, Cardwell & Jones in 1992. He expanded his practice to include personal injury litigation, both for plaintiffs and defendants, business litigation and the representation of corporations in insurance coverage disputes.

Today, Scott focuses primarily on commercial litigation and insurance coverage issues. Other areas of representation include the negotiation of multi-million dollar coverage disputes between corporate insureds and insurance companies on both first and third party claims, including mass tort litigation. While historically focusing on litigation, in the ever-changing atmosphere of lawsuit reform, Scott's practice has increasingly shifted toward consultation with corporate clients on risk and crisis management issues.
