Sheila Wollam began practicing law as an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County, Texas, where she first-chaired more than forty jury trials. She also served as chief prosecutor in several courts, where she second-chaired many more trials.

Sheila joined Franklin Cardwell & Jones in February 1998 with an initial focus on defending allegations of medical negligence. Since 2002, she has expanded her practice to include general and commercial litigation ranging from employment matters to complex contractual disputes. She continues to rely on her experience working in the criminal justice system to advise and represent clients involved as witnesses, defendants or experts in federal and state court criminal matters.
